Complete transparency about how Sensory Sorted earns money and what that means for you.

The bottom line: some links on this site earn us a small commission if you buy through them. This costs you nothing extra. Our reviews are written honestly regardless — we will never recommend a product we don't genuinely believe is worth buying.
An affiliate link is a special tracked URL that tells a retailer (such as Amazon) that a visitor arrived via our website. If you click one of these links and go on to make a purchase, we receive a small percentage of the sale as a commission.
The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer. You are not charged anything extra, and no money is taken from your purchase. The commission comes from the retailer's margin, not yours.
On Sensory Sorted, all "View on Amazon →" buttons and product name links in our review pages are Amazon affiliate links. These are part of the Amazon Associates programme.
Where we link to other retailers, those may also be affiliate links. We will always make it clear when a link takes you to a product page on a retailer's site.
Informational links — for example, to NHS pages, OT resources, or general articles — are never affiliate links.
Sensory Sorted is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.
As required by Amazon, we disclose this on every page where Amazon affiliate links appear. You will see a note in the footer of each review page to this effect.
Running a website has costs — hosting, domain fees, research tools, and time. Affiliate commissions allow Sensory Sorted to remain free to access, free of intrusive advertising, and free of brand sponsorship deals.
Without affiliate income, this site could not exist in its current form. We are grateful to every reader who clicks through and makes a purchase — it genuinely helps keep the lights on.
Affiliate links never influence which products we recommend or what we write about them. Our editorial process is:
We research products based on what children and families need — not on which products offer the best commission rates.
Recommendations are checked against occupational therapist guidance on sensory needs and appropriate tools.
Every product gets a balanced write-up. We list genuine downsides even for products we recommend highly.
No brand has ever paid to be featured, ranked higher, or reviewed more favourably. We do not accept free products in exchange for positive coverage.
If a product does not meet our standards, we will not list it — regardless of how much commission it might generate.
I started this site because I was exhausted by affiliate review sites that clearly ranked products based on commission potential rather than quality. You can usually tell — the writing is thin, every product scores 9 out of 10, and nothing is ever criticised.
I wanted to do something different. My kids depend on the right tools. Other families depend on honest information. I would rather earn less and be trusted than earn more and be useless.
So yes — I use affiliate links. But every word on this site is written as if the links weren't there. That's my promise to you.
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidelines on endorsements and reviews, the ASA CAP Code on affiliate marketing, and FTC guidelines for international visitors. We are committed to full transparency about our commercial relationships.
